The last of the beasts that run free in the wild, gather together and look beyond the brick laden walls to see the still beautiful and majestic creature that is strapped to the posts of the deserted enclosure. With only water to keep him well, the unicorn looks dreamily into the stars wondering of a future to be. The walls too tall to leap over and he sits and waits always watching life beyond his reach, pass by as the seasons grow old. He recieves news from the birds who know him well. Still not knowing who or how he got there. Even if the powerful creature could break free from his straps there is no door to leave. He remembers happier days running free and time will only tell what will happen to this poor enchanted creature of old.

you havnt read or seen The Last Unicorn? but you must! its one of the few really well done modern fairytale stories . Anyway, its a wonderful painting, reminds me of that old English poem titled The Unicorn. (one critisim if its not too bold is that the unicorn of folklore never have a hairy horse's tail but rather a white lions tale )
So as always great work and cant wait for ur next peice
really? i never knew that... Can you keep a secret...actually i gave him a hairy tail because the grass between his legs looked like a large pickle if you get my drift No critisim is too bold unless you throw a tomato at me lol I will definatly check out the last unicorn

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
